28 of My Favorite Things

This week, I am going to turn 28. I don’t really know what to say about it that I haven’t said before when it comes to my birthday. I don’t know if I can claim to dread it, but I’m not necessarily excited about it either. It seems to be another day on the calendar, which leads me to wondering if this is what transitioning into adulthood is?

6 Holiday Songs I Needed on My Playlist This Year

Can you believe we are at this point already? In about two weeks, we are going to be in 2023. I have to confess that I have had a hard time hopping into the holiday spirit. There is some serious shopping to be done, and it feels like I have so little time to do it.

Would it make me a Scrouge to say that it has been hard for me to get into Christmas this year? I’m not sure if it’s inflation that brings out the holiday cynic in me, or if I’ve just had my head down in the books and now I’m not prepared with Christmas in a week, but I’m not really feeling the Christmas vibes this year.

Something that is key to the vibe is music, so I’ve been trying to incorporate more into my December playlist. It might be something to share, so I’m going to share my six unique holiday songs to get me into the mood here.

The July 4th Weekend of Meeting with Movers

I started out this weekend tired, because for me, this weekend started early, and not just because of the holiday weekend. Although, it might be said that my weekend ended earlier because of the holiday, because I ended up working. While I also spent the Fourth of July comforting my dog, I’m pleased to report that I can go into my week well-rested and content.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I am off to St. Augustine for the day with family as you read this, so I thought I would reflect on my first trip to St. Augustine to celebrate the occasion. While the standard Florida kid went to St. Augustine in fourth grade, I passed on it because money was tight.
