Visiting the Oldest City in America

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I am off to St. Augustine for the day with family as you read this, so I thought I would reflect on my first trip to St. Augustine to celebrate the occasion. While the standard Florida kid went to St. Augustine in fourth grade, I passed on it because money was tight. But it worked out for the better, because I got to take my boyfriend on a surprise date around the city, so keep reading for the highlights of our little getaway.

Spooky Stories: Cyberstalking My Exes

I recently started watching The Bold Type. I thought it might be fun to take some writing prompts from the show and write them from my perspective. So in the first episode, Jane has her first writing assignment, and she accidentally pitches herself to write about trying to stalk an ex who doesn’t have social media. I’m pretty sure that all my exes have social media, but I haven’t checked in. Is it worth it? I guess we’re going to find out.

30 Little Things of My Heritage That I’m Proud Of

Something fun about May is that it is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, which is something to add to the long list of things that I get to celebrate at this time of year. While I initially wanted to talk all about why I value my heritage and how it’s contributed to the person I am, I thought I would keep it more lighthearted and fun since we’re halfway through the week. There’s a graphic going around Instagram created by the user @procrastin.azn, and it’s titled “30 Days of API Pride.” Instead of doing 30 days, I thought I would just answer them all for day 13 of my blogging challenge today.
