Get to Know Me: Camp Exchange Edition

The bachelorette itself was camp themed, and one of the activities was a swap party. I ended up making a goody bag of my favorite things. I was surprised to find that I wasn’t the only one who had this idea, but I shouldn’t have been because of course my favorite people would have other generous people in their lives.

Anyway, for today’s blog post, I thought I would breakdown what was in the goody bags I handed out. I themed it to showcase what a perfect night in for me would look like and give you a little glimpse into who I am if you are new here.

6 Workouts that are Getting Me Hot This Summer

So in today’s blog post, I am going to share workouts that I enjoy and that I am trying to incorporate more of. And it was inspired by a spread in the June/July 2014 issue of Seventeen magazine titled “Get Hot… No Sweat,” which is kind of interesting in that I can’t avoid sweating in Florida, workout or no.

My May 2026 R.E.P.O.R.T.

Some of you might have been around when I joined TikTok and wrote up a R.E.P.O.R.T. since it was a TikTok trend (which I realize as I include these links that they were done on two different websites, so maybe this R.E.P.O.R.T. will be more exciting content for you). Well, I had written this R.E.P.O.R.T. up originally to post on Substack, but since I haven’t really been all that active on that platform, I thought I would go ahead and share it here.

My Weekend of Birthday Surprises

For today, I wanted to reflect on how the weekend went for me. From being a responsible adult to expecting surprises, I think this was a very calm weekend to usher in this year of my life. I’m hopeful that the rest of the year is just as calm, with more joy if I’m lucky.

Sunday Sums and Parts For May 10, 2026

The idea here is that I was playing with all the summaries and parts of my week, playing off of the sum of all the parts saying. The parts will be recapping things I’ve done on different corners of the internet, and the sums are different things I’m turning over in my brain. Maybe we will like it enough to continue doing it here, or maybe it will shift and change into something else somewhere else.

Embracing the Idea of Naïve Art

My sister Jasmine and I were having a conversation recently about hobbies and art, when she said, “You know, Kristi, I think you should embrace the idea of naïve art more.”
And maybe the name is obvious, but I went ahead and asked her, “What is naïve art?”
In short, it is art developed by people who have taught themselves how to be artists.

6 Things to Love About DuckTales

Today is National Donald Duck Day, and I would say that Donald Duck was one of my favorite Mickey Mouse characters growing up. And as an adult, I fell in love with the rebooted version of DuckTales. So today, I wanted to talk about why I think DuckTales is a great show and why you should check it out.

5 Things I’m Giving Away on Instagram for Memorial Day

After looking at this blog title, I have realized that giving away 5 things instead of 6 is pretty off-brand for me. The truth is that I was so excited about this giveaway that I wasn’t really thinking about the numbers, and I will have to remember that in the future.

Instead of focusing on that, why don’t we talk about the products I’m giving away? I’m so excited to take advantage of the opportunity to share some things that I am going to share with one lucky winner.

6 Loyalty Programs I Took Advantage of for My Birthday

So, I was originally debating on continuing this idea from my food blog or writing about a different topic. What made me decide to continue on with this idea is that Ben Soffer, Celebrity went on The Toast on Friday and renewed my feelings against Starbucks. This motivated me to continue on my train of alternative places to visit other than Starbucks.

The short version (but click for the hyperlink to the long version) is that I don’t love the conditions around the Starbucks loyalty program, so I found other ways to celebrate my birthday. In conjunction with my food blog, here are 6 non-food related loyalty programs I signed up for and tried to take advantage of for my birthday.

28 of My Favorite Things

This week, I am going to turn 28. I don’t really know what to say about it that I haven’t said before when it comes to my birthday. I don’t know if I can claim to dread it, but I’m not necessarily excited about it either. It seems to be another day on the calendar, which leads me to wondering if this is what transitioning into adulthood is?

Maybe this is what it is like to feel like I’m coasting? I’m not sure, but in an attempt to focus on the positive things, I thought I would share some of my favorite things today. Since I am turning 28, that is the length of this list, so if this is your first time here, this is a good opportunity to get to know me
