So my boyfriend had another wisdom tooth removed before the weekend started, and I believe that this is the last one. The loving, doting girlfriend that I am, I took the weekend off of work to make sure that he was going to be okay. We’re about to go into a new weekend, but you can tell by the title of this blog and the two earlier this week that my mind is still on the last one! Hopefully, as the weekend starts that changes, but it also might be unlikely. The forecast is that I am planning on working this weekend, which shouldn’t be too much of a shocker.

Yesterday I woke up to an email saying that I have grad orientation in two weeks. I don’t know what your first inclination was, but mine was that summer is coming to an end. While that might make some people sad, I actually really enjoy being a student. With learning being one of my core values, I don’t think you’re growing if you’re not learning at least one new thing everyday.
While summer is the season with the longest days of the year, it is quickly wrapping up. And I’m sure that people are trying to squeeze in one last summer vacation or are preparing to shop for the school year, but I have some goals I want to complete before the season is over. Yes, another blog post about my beloved dog, Damian the Wigglebutt. Because I love him, and now that I’ve moved out and don’t get to see him very often, I miss him. It hurts a lot more, because dogs don’t really understand the concept of how cell phones work. So not only does he not recognize that I’m on the screen of the phone when I video chat my sister, he refuses to even look at the camera. I would like to believe it’s because he is sad to hear my voice and not see me, but who knows?
It might surprise you to read that this post isn’t entirely about my dog. For our anniversary, my attentive boyfriend bought me a fancy camera. I say fancy because I’ve only had the more affordable digital cameras growing up, and he got me an advanced, professional DSLR camera. He overheard a conversation where I was talking to my sister about how she broke mine, and was sweet enough to get me one as a gift.
That being said, I am now trying to learn and understand how to properly use this new camera. I’m at the point where I will probably invest in a class if I can find the time. For today though, I wanted to talk about Damian because when it comes to photography, he is my muse. No one makes me want to whip out my camera more, and it is also painful because when I do, he will refuse to look at the camera 85% of the time. But I still love him, and that’s why he is being celebrated today, on National Dog Photography Day.

I’m probably late to the party, but I just finished watching all of The Bold Type. It is a show that really stands out in my mind, and I find that it was so refreshing, comfortable, and pleasing to watch that I can’t bring myself to start another television show. At this point in time, I feel like nothing can measure up to the feeling that The Bold Type gives me when I’m watching, so I am avoiding the idea of starting something new.

No weekend blog last week, because all I did was work. This weekend wasn’t too different, but it was more interesting than the last. Before it even started, my boyfriend got one of his wisdom teeth removed, so I was pretty much playing nurse to him. Luckily, all my friends are nurses, so I had some backup if anything went wrong.

I started out this weekend tired, because for me, this weekend started early, and not just because of the holiday weekend. Although, it might be said that my weekend ended earlier because of the holiday, because I ended up working.
