5 Things I’m Giving Away on Instagram for Memorial Day

After looking at this blog title, I have realized that giving away 5 things instead of 6 is pretty off-brand for me. The truth is that I was so excited about this giveaway that I wasn’t really thinking about the numbers, and I will have to remember that in the future.

Instead of focusing on that, why don’t we talk about the products I’m giving away? I’m so excited to take advantage of the opportunity to share some things that I am going to share with one lucky winner.

I’m Back on YouTube?

Why do I continue to let the perception of others impact how I see myself? I don’t know, but I am trying really hard to move past that. And that starts with coming back to YouTube, and maybe everything else too.

Round-Up of Where You Can Find Me Throughout the Week

Since I had access to it, the internet has been something that I’ve been drawn to, whether it’s watching cover videos on YouTube or feeling a connection within a niche community. So now, while I am in the process of getting my life together, I’m excited to spend a little more time exploring the playground I once knew as I hope to create my own community. I’ve written this blog post to give you some idea of where to find me throughout the week.

I FINALLY Joined TikTok

During the height of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic is when TikTok really blew up (at least in my mind). Back then, I thought it was all about dancing and I felt like I was too cheugy to be on an app with that purpose. I felt that way for a while, and then my mind started to change after I watched The D’Amelio Show. It was a little annoying, because whenever my sisters or friends would send me a video on TikTok, I would follow the link and only be able to watch about 15 seconds of a video and would somtimes miss the joke.

My Well-Balanced Weekend

It’s not often that I get a weekend where it’s nicely balanced, one that is equal parts work, socializing, and resting. I’ve Become a Fan of the D’Amelios

Of course I had heard of the D’Amelios before this, but I don’t think that I really developed an interest in them until the past week. Obviously, Charli and Dixie were very trendy during the pandemic when Tik Tok really started to become popular, but at the time, I believed that I was too old and uncoordinated to be dancing on a social media platform.

After hearing Marc speak on the podcast, and hearing that Charli and her mom Heidi are competing on Dancing with the Stars this season, I wanted to know all about them. So instead of caving and downloading Tik Tok, I went and started watching The D’Amelio Show on Hulu. After finishing all of season one, I’m now a fan who is contemplating downloading Tik Tok.

What My Lazy Day Looks Like

While today is National Lazy Day, I am probably not having a lazy day right now. If you’re reading this, I am probably at orientation for graduate school, because that is what I have on the schedule bright and early today. But for today’s post, let’s pretend that I am having a lazy day and what that would look like for me. You know, if I could’ve had one today.

Spooky Stories: Cyberstalking My Exes

I recently started watching The Bold Type. I thought it might be fun to take some writing prompts from the show and write them from my perspective. So in the first episode, Jane has her first writing assignment, and she accidentally pitches herself to write about trying to stalk an ex who doesn’t have social media. I’m pretty sure that all my exes have social media, but I haven’t checked in. Is it worth it? I guess we’re going to find out.
