Are You Happy?

If you’ve gone to see the latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you’ll know that happiness is the theme throughout Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Small spoiler ahead: aside from several characters asking, “Are you happy, Stephen?” happiness is also the primary motivator for Wanda Maximoff, or Scarlett Witch, as the villain of the movie. Happiness is the theme that I wanted to discuss in today’s blog post, so let’s get right into it.

Spring Has Sprung Favorites

Before moving to Florida where summer feels like a year-round season, spring was my favorite season as a child. I distinctly remember being in second grade, and the teacher was trying to teach us about the basics when it came to polls and how those numbers worked for math class. She went around and asked us what our favorite seasons were, and got very annoyed when I raised my hand to tell her that she missed me because I was the only one that stood up to vote for spring. Spooky Stories: Cyberstalking My Exes

I recently started watching The Bold Type. I thought it might be fun to take some writing prompts from the show and write them from my perspective. So in the first episode, Jane has her first writing assignment, and she accidentally pitches herself to write about trying to stalk an ex who doesn’t have social media. My Highs and Lows of 2020

Cheers too 2021! As I settle into the year, I’ve been reflecting on 2020. While it was a wild ride (I’m trying to refrain from saying unprecedented times, but wild ride doesn’t seem to work either), I have to say that this period has proved to be a time of patience, growth, and learning. Maybe I say that as someone who has the privilege that I do, but I truly believe that you can’t experience the highs without the lows. Today, I wanted to take the time to reflect the highs and lows before I manifest for the coming year. Keep reading to find out more.

Analyzing Coriolanus Snow’s Character Consistency After The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes also gives us some insight into how Snow thinks, what has influenced him, and possible causes of what led him to become the man we know him to be in The Hunger Games. After reading the book, I thought that it would be interesting to revisit the movies and see how his character compares to what I read, or how it might have evolved since then.

Bring out the firecrackers, because it’s my birthday! While I spent most of the day at work, I’m very happy with how this birthday went. Anyway, in honor of turning 23, today’s blog post is a list of 23 things I want to do once quarantine is over.

Why Your Mother-Daughter Relationship Doesn’t Need to Be Perfect

Since today is Mother’s Day and day 10 of my blogging challenge, I am going to open up and get really personal with you today. The thing about a lot of bloggers is that they open up and really expose themselves to you, and their life seems perfect. The truth is that no one’s life is imperfect, and if you were to ask me about the imperfect parts of my life, I would say it’s my relationship with my mom. And that’s okay. If you want to know why, keep reading.
