6 Things to Love About DuckTales

Today is National Donald Duck Day, and I would say that Donald Duck was one of my favorite Mickey Mouse characters growing up. And as an adult, I fell in love with the rebooted version of DuckTales. So today, I wanted to talk about why I think DuckTales is a great show and why you should check it out.

4 Notes I Took During My First Art Academy Lesson

Last week, I shared that I was writing a “Life List” after being inspired by the Netflix movie. One of the items on that list was to “Design something, or creatively explore something else.” I’ve always just considered writing as my form of art, but there are so many more creative avenues that I can explore. So, I took some initiative and started learning how to draw/paint with the Art Academy lessons, and I wanted to share the notes I took today. As a beginner, I think I might be able to offer information that other beginners also don’t know to improve their own work.

Visiting the Oldest City in America

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I am off to St. Augustine for the day with family as you read this, so I thought I would reflect on my first trip to St. Augustine to celebrate the occasion. While the standard Florida kid went to St. Augustine in fourth grade, I passed on it because money was tight. But it worked out for the better, because I got to take my boyfriend on a surprise date around the city, so keep reading for the highlights of our little getaway.
