Here’s the long story, short: I had a friend who was reviewing personal styling services, and she needed a short person to try out Short Story Box. At 5 feet, I was a great fit. Now, I look forward to putting on a fashion show for my sisters and grandma every month, and I wanted to share my favorite buys today.
All of the High Rise Jeans
I was never a fan of the high-waisted jeans. I don’t know if it was because I looked smaller, or I could never find a pair that looked good on me, but it was one of the first things that Short Story Box sent to me. I looked at the pair and thought, “I’m probably going to send these back.”
If you’re from Short Story, you’re probably reading this and laughing, because I think they have sent me high-waisted jeans in 80% of my boxes, and I have bought pretty much all of them. Even the first pair that I thought I was sending back. Jeans are a practical buy for me, and these are just cute.
Ruched Waist Crop Top
It is so hard for me to find a crop top that I like on me. I’m a little self-conscious about my stomach, and my figure doesn’t really get accented by them very well. The last one I brought and loved was back in 2017, and I think I have a white long-sleeved one that I am still trying to pawn off.
Enter Short Story Box, and they send me this Ruched Waist Crop Top. When I saw it, I said, “I like the color, but I don’t love a crop top.” And I think the fact that I ended up loving how this crop top looked on me is what made me keep my subscription for Short Story Box after my trial period.
Aria Floral Wrap Dress
I remember buying everything from my May box, but this one is probably the one that takes the cake. I’ve been told that most girls hate how their boobs look, but I kid you not that I put this dress on and said to my boyfriend, “My boobs look great in this dress.” AND he agreed with me. I say that because he typically questions my fashion choices
Ditsy Floral Wrap Top
May might have been just a really good boob month. I think I put this top on, and like I said before, I’m not in a crop top loving phase because I’m a little self conscious about my pudge. But this top looked really cute, and so did my boobs.
Sleeve Embroidery Peasant Top w/ Mid Rise Short with Mesh Panel
I’ve always loved how bright and fun yellow is, but I think it’s hard to find a yellow that isn’t too overwhelming. When this top came in last month’s box, I was so excited, and I loved how Shannon told me to style it. You can’t see the shorts in this selfie, but it made me feel like I should be on vacation.
Rory Jumpsuit
So I’m sure that you’ve noticed the trend of me thinking that I would never wear something, and then finding something really cute through Short Story Box, and that is the case with this and jumpsuits. As a short person, the standard-made jumpsuit isn’t as comfortable or as cute because my legs aren’t as long, or my torso is too short. But with Short Story Box, not only are the clothes I receive based off of my personal style, but they feel custom made for me.
