I recently had the opportunity to explore SeaWorld, and what makes it better is that the Christmas Celebration was taking place while I was there. From my experience, here are some things you should do, and things you shouldn’t do, if you decide to go.
DO Invest in an All-Day Dining Plan
Anywhere I go, I’m going so that I can eat. So for me, investing in the All-Day Dining Plan for $39.99 was very much worth it. Every hour, I could go and get a meal that includes a non-alcoholic drink, an entree, and a side or dessert. It was especially useful when I got food that I wasn’t totally satisfied with, because then I wouldn’t have to put out even more money for another meal. I loved having so many options.
DON’T Expect to Be There All Day
The initial plan was to show up at 1:30 P.M. and to stay till park close. By 7 P.M., my friend and I had done everything in the park that we wanted to do and started doing repeats of all the things. Now, that doesn’t include the additional things you can do like behind-the-scenes tours or animal interactions, so if you include those, you might have more to do. But for me, I think six hours is plenty of time to do all you want.

DO Go See Winter Wonderland on Ice and Pets Ahoy!
These two would be the highlight of my day. Seeing all the animals in Pets Ahoy! made my heart melt. I wish I got to interact with them afterwards, but that wasn’t an option when I went. With the Winter Wonderland on Ice show, I saw it, and my thought was, “Wow, this is how Olympic figure skaters make money between seasons.” I was blown away by the talent.
DON’T Bring a Bag
I was very surprised by this. At theme parks like Disney and Universal, they will provide complimentary lockers for the rides that mandate you not be carrying anything. For SeaWorld, these lockers are not complimentary. I was not happy paying two-three dollars for a locker rental. So my advice is to carry as little as possible.

I know that SeaWorld is a controversial brand; what are your thoughts on it? Do you have a favorite marine animal? Is there any type of research that you’re passionate about?
It was nice to change up my usual theme park routine by going to SeaWorld for a change. Feel free to share your thoughts on my experience in the comments below, and if you enjoyed reading this, feel free to share and subscribe. Thank you so much for reading.
Love Always,
