So, I came across this article on LitHub the other day titled, “Meet the Best High School Lit Mag in America“. It sparked my interest because I volunteered for a literary magazine when I was in high school. Little did I expect for this magazine to be one that I have been published in.
No, I did not volunteer at this magazine. I lived a town over and went to a different high school. I did submit to this magazine though, and my submission was published on the website. You can read “Dancing Through Life” here.
Dancing Through Life
This story was inspired by a photo I saw once. There was an elderly couple dancing and laughing together in their backyard, and clothes lines were hanging from one side of the yard to the other. They were dressed formally, the sun was shining, the clothes were drying, and they just looked to be so happy.
That happiness is what inspired “Dancing Through Life”. I hope that you can enjoy it, and realize that the world should be driven by happiness like that.
